Disapointed in Sagan. He was going to get the stage anyway.

He didn't have to **** on Cunego in the proccess. The "**** you" to Damiano was needless.

A little pull on the front would have showed character.

Contrast to the gentleman acts of Contador in Italy.

Susan

I read in the paper that Sport1 (formerly known as DSF) was showing it, I haven't been able to verify though

They showed the stage today. I was very happy to make that discovery by accident!

Funny you say this now but you said Hushovd was a "wheelsucker" for not helping Cancellara bring back his own teammate in P-R...(I think)

van garderen would be lucky to get back 1 minute in final timetrial, definetely no 2 minutes

Hard to say. He got about 20 seconds in the prologue, but I don't know if the longer distance would keep the same gaps (per km), lessen them or make them longer.

If it held the same... 20s over 7 km = about 1:20-1:30 over 32km.

2 minutes to Cunego would be too much if the time differences were the same. 2 minutes to Frank Schleck (who he was 30 seconds faster then in the prologue) might be doable.

More then likely he needs to not lose ANY more time to Cunego to realistically have a shot. He can afford to lose some more time to Schleck and Soler though.

Why not. We see time and time again cyclists go for the -since im going to get the stage win anyway I might as well help you out, option, rather than the Thor Hushovd TDF cobbles - **** you, you are gowing to tow me to the line and im going to rub it in when we get there option.

He wins either way. Only 1st option he shows character, maturity, second option he gives Cunego the uncomfortable experience of slaving him to the line.

Wouldnt make him any less of a winner.

If I see an old lady trying to get her bag up some stairs, I help her because, why not. Im going to get up those stairs easily anyway

Im just not a winner I suppose. ;)

Just watched todays stage.

Awesome descending by Cunego, Sagan and the TV Motorbike.

Great commentary by Carlton too.

Brill.

Helping out a guy who the previous day "stole" the final green jersey from him, and in doing so, helping GC threats putting more time into his own team's GC contender? Sounds like a smart tactical move. Perhaps you also were a fan of T-mobile's tactics a few years ago when they brought back Vinokourov, because they might as well go for the "helping the other teams"- option? :p

Nice work from Sagan to get back on. Cunego audacious attack, great riding. Soler's team was maybe not strong enough to defend his lead. Nice riding by Fuglsang as well

I don't see what's your drama. Cunego got yellow, Sagan got the stage.
Kudos to Sagan for having caught up with Cunego with 3 Km to go.

It's rather funny because I got slaughtered last year for expressing the innocent wish that Thor do a pull or two - whether it was by you among others I have no way of remembering though :)

I hope Salerno isn't badly injured, he did a great ride

wow talking about apples and oranges

cunego was in front with sagana nd would've stayed in front regardless of sagan's help, cancellara was not bridging up alone and hushivd refused to weork and thus detsroyed his own chances.

What a fantastic stage. Had other things to do, but couldn't pull myself away from it. Probably the best racing I've seen this year.

Cunego is da man. Three Dutchies in the top-10, not bad. The flatlands are a climbing nation.

4 great GT climbers for the low countries, who would of thought(VDB, Gesink and Schleckies). Perhaps 5 or 6 in the near future.

great stage today! sagan and cunego really impressed me today! cunego is a talent and i think he should try to win the tour de suisse and than go to the tour trying to win some stages! honestly i dont have any word to describe peter sagan, he is gonna be a real champion in the future, i am sure about that! i dont think sagan is a wheel sucker , he did what he was supposed to do, he caught cunego in the last 2,5 km and than win the stage in a sprint!!!

Good Danish climbers is even more ironic, given that the their highest mountain is 170m above sea level.

Might it have been a Belgian stream?

In which case you just made the exact same mistake you laughed at the commentator for...... Confusing easily confusable nations

you were right, it was Exqi sport...I thought it was a dutch stream, but it was belgian indeed :)

Peter needs even more wins so that more and more people know where he is from....

I agree actually.

This happens in cycling all the time, why should sagan decrease his chances to help improve Cunego overall position.

Sagan rode smart.
No need to take risks (not winnign the stage) to be a gentlemen.

He had Vanmarcke working for him and had a strong team. They played their cards well. None of the other favourites did either.

Ramussen, Riis and Fuglsang
