A little pull on the front would have showed character.

Contrast to the gentleman acts of Contador in Italy.

Funny you say this now but you said Hushovd was a "wheelsucker" for not helping Cancellara bring back his own teammate in P-R...(I think)

Hard to say. He got about 20 seconds in the prologue, but I don't know if the longer distance would keep the same gaps (per km), lessen them or make them longer.

If it held the same... 20s over 7 km = about 1:20-1:30 over 32km.

2 minutes to Cunego would be too much if the time differences were the same. 2 minutes to Frank Schleck (who he was 30 seconds faster then in the prologue) might be doable.

More then likely he needs to not lose ANY more time to Cunego to realistically have a shot. He can afford to lose some more time to Schleck and Soler though.

Helping out a guy who the previous day "stole" the final green jersey from him, and in doing so, helping GC threats putting more time into his own team's GC contender? Sounds like a smart tactical move. Perhaps you also were a fan of T-mobile's tactics a few years ago when they brought back Vinokourov, because they might as well go for the "helping the other teams"- option?

Nice work from Sagan to get back on. Cunego audacious attack, great riding. Soler's team was maybe not strong enough to defend his lead. Nice riding by Fuglsang as well

I don't see what's your drama. Cunego got yellow, Sagan got the stage.

It's rather funny because I got slaughtered last year for expressing the innocent wish that Thor do a pull or two - whether it was by you among others I have no way of remembering though

I hope Salerno isn't badly injured, he did a great ride

cunego was in front with sagana nd would've stayed in front regardless of sagan's help, cancellara was not bridging up alone and hushivd refused to weork and thus detsroyed his own chances.

What a fantastic stage. Had other things to do, but couldn't pull myself away from it. Probably the best racing I've seen this year.

Cunego is da man. Three Dutchies in the top-10, not bad. The flatlands are a climbing nation.

great stage today! sagan and cunego really impressed me today! cunego is a talent and i think he should try to win the tour de suisse and than go to the tour trying to win some stages! honestly i dont have any word to describe peter sagan, he is gonna be a real champion in the future, i am sure about that! i dont think sagan is a wheel sucker , he did what he was supposed to do, he caught cunego in the last 2,5 km and than win the stage in a sprint!!!

I agree actually.

This happens in cycling all the time, why should sagan decrease his chances to help improve Cunego overall position.

Sagan rode smart.
No need to take risks (not winnign the stage) to be a gentlemen.
