How can you say that with TGBM being 3rd in GC? he clearly won't be giving anymore gifts in the TdS. I expect him to win tomorrow with at least half an hour!

What a great stage!

Amazing by Cunego. And Sagan. I would never have imagined that he could climb so well. The most impressive thing was the he looked quite comfortable, enjoying the view while climbing.

Might it have been a Belgian stream?

In which case you just made the exact same mistake you laughed at the commentator for...... Confusing easily confusable nations

sounded close to German, at least I know where Belgium or Holland lie...

Fantastic stage!

The scenery and the pictures have been beautiful and the race seems well-organized.

It's been wonderful to see Soler and Cunego ride so well. And I knew how talented Sagan is but it's still great to see him win in a different sort of way - such an exciting rider for the future.

Rabobank and Leopard teams looking good for the Tour. Garmin not looking good.

Actually looking forward to a sprint stage to see how those guys are doing.

Did Salerno break something? He was standing and looked OKish but could have been a collarbone.

At least his team got the win today and he helped a lot.

And to think Sagan almost quit cycling because Quickstep refused to give him a contract after a test.

Really ? classic

Some might call that a huge mistake........... I would one of them.

Matter of personal opinion. My favorite thing regarding cycling is climbing, and thus I like to see climbers win.

But Like I said I enjoy the descending also, but too many is not good balance.

I enjoy stages like this a lot more because I hate cyclists who can only climb and are completely horrible in everything else.

Cunego has good climbing legs, strong finishing kick and can descend pretty well(clearly no Savoldelli or anything, but compared to Schlecklett)

Winning a stage like this is harder than winning if it were just on a MTF. It takes either a more allrounder cyclist or an amazing climber that can open up a big enough gap on the climb and defend it in the descend(or from a breakaway)

MTF are overrated imo.

I think Van Garderen has a shot at this. He seems to be climbing very well, and no rider in front of him is better in a TT. If he gets some time back before Sunday, he's got a genuine shot at the overall GC.

Damn, Sagan seems to have no limits at all.. can't wait to see him challenge Gilbert in the classics within a few years.

De Greef also strong again. Altho I honestly have no clue what he's aiming for. The guy has pretty huge GT/GC potential, but still carries 78kg over the mountains:eek:

He seems more like a guy for the cobbled classics to me.

All 3 are probably capable of finishing top 20 in the final TT if the GC is up for grabs especially considering there is a hill in it. Cunego and Soler finished top 20 on stage 1 this year, Schleck top 20 in the decisive TT last year
