Indeed. Personally I had barely noticed him before the Giro this year so I had no idea he was that talented. He could've won today if he didn't fall.

I knew he was something last year. As he was in the break very often in last years tour de suisse and he won the sprint and mountains classification. he was selected for the tdf too but crashed out in the prologue. Otherwise nothing else more than that.

"The crash happened in a silly moment, I don`t know exactly how it happened," Frank said. "We were fast and the peloton rode active. I have only some scrapes. Johann (Tschopp) and I got back on our BMCs first and George (Hincapie) also helped me a lot to get back. I stayed calm and rode my rhythm. Before the crash I had good legs and thought that this would be my day. Who knows what would have happened without the crash. My aim is still top 10."

Wow that last Km is really tough! Doesn't look like much but they were all struggling. Brought back memories of the last time they went up there in 2004. I remember it was classified as a Cat 2! Tschopp lost time too because of the crash. they said nearly the whole team crashed. frank could have won it if he didnt crash. BMC have discovered another talent. Chapeau to max sciandri.

Sciandri only came to BMC this year. It wasn't him that discovered Frank.
