Feed just started. First rider going off in about 4 minutes.

Cool.

I just set my weather getter to SLC. It reads 88 degrees with 22% humidity and few clouds.

Mid 90s expected for Saturday, and partly cloudy for Sunday with a 40% chance of rain.

That's it. First 3 miles are very hard. Once you hit Sundance, the elevation gets more gradual. The descent is very fast. People hit 60 mph there.

Next climb is gradual and tops out at 8%. Super fast descent after that.

Snowbird is just hard. It doesn't even go to the top. There are 2 more miles of climbing to Alta. Then the climb continues after that up to the Catherine Lake parking lot!

Great to see Utah knows how to name its climbs.

When a rider wakes up a name like Hautacam, St Christina, Col du Colombiere, Mortirolo strikes the fear of God into him, and the fan knows its going to be carnage.

You just dont get that with col du telegraphe or Bola del Mundo.

Didn't Henao say he responded to an attack by Levi, which the TV coverage tragically missed?

lol nice.

He also semi attacked in TDS didnt he?

I think hes got some balls this season and its very impressive to see him stick with Henao. Also good to see him get some real competition in his local races after the way he was winning Tour of Gila or whatever and Cali all those years.

Better for everyone and if he wins, like Suisse he will have truly earnt it.

The last time I was there I almost hit a moose on the way down. He was standing in the middle of the road.
