I was looking at the HTC squad and I was thinking "wait, they might actually not win something here!". Clearly, I was mistaken. Their ability to consistently get a victory out of almost any squad and by any of their riders is unbelievable.

That classification makes no sense. Petacchi, the only pure sprinter? Oh well, I guess he had to be in form for Sanremo.

Also, yay Bakelants!

TGBM beats Contador yet again!

What a sprinting field haha, even Contador made it into the top 10.

maybe Apollonio?

Uran has a decent sprint, if Rojas and Petacchi were the only sprinters in the group, I'm sure he could beat the likes of Evans, Mollema and Contador in a sprint.

I'm not sure the result is correct, official website says the bunch came in ~20 seconds (so 28 seconds may fit) after the two escapees

Uran could have as well been mistaken for Apollonio

well probably the big names were staying at the front just to avoid crashes.let's face it we don't have lots of sprinters in this race.i'm surprised alejet made it in the front group.

looks like Smukulis attacks in the final 3km but Gastauer is not able to follow him.

Gastauer finally lost 47s. He was not even in the peleton!

You'd think Menchov was in decent shape after Murcia, but maybe he's in saving energy mode and can't be bothered.

Ryo! How is this possible?? The great Quintana was going to crush everyone!
Maybe he needs for kilometers. He is very small and need to adjust to the European pro-peloton. Just guessing.

Soler comes from and injury and we all know what his problem is. Maybe staying out of trouble is his main target for now.

He was hit by a car in training and had flu last weekend.
