just think the final climb might suit Martin..
Dan Martin beat all GC riders on this climb in the 2009 Volta a Catalunya, including Valverde and Tondo. But back then the race was in May, isn't today a bit early in the season for Martin?

Remember though, this mtf might not be as great as it seems. It was seen as not too steep and a relatively weak mtf at the Vuelta schedule compared to the days to come. The greatness of the 2010 stage came more from Mosqueras amazing "screw this" 5 minute pull coupled with Antons original falling back. As i recall Dekker T spent the next week telling us that if Nibali cracked on the false flat that was Andorra he would have no chance on Cottobello and Bola.

Yup, unfortunately, by that time, Igor Anton was gone. Otherwise my words would still be true.

Yup.

Unless he found a way around his allergies, I don't see it happening today. A few weeks ago, I believe it was in Murcia, he was horrendously bad in the MTF finish

Did you expect him to match Mosquera on the Bola del Mundo? I know I didn't.

staying on your bike is also important when you want to win a GT.

Quintana and Kruijswijk. Major forum meltdown warning.

lawls

imagine how hilarious it would be if there was a quintana, TGBM, uran and sagan escape on a high mountain stage like this one.

yeah... I guess Mollema is rabo's main man tho.
Of course, but they have quite their share of climbers in this race. There are others to do attacks like this (Ten Dam, for instance).
