Dropping Kruiswijk hardly constitutes being a supertalent.

no but winning the tour of the avenir at age 20 is, besides kruiswijk was with the 20 best in the giro last year so

The guy's 21, this is his first race in Europe in a long time, and he dropped guys like Kruijswijk, Hoogerland and Peterson, interesting folks who certainly can climb. Of course he hasn't done much yet in this race, but it's a sign that aligns pretty well with what we knew about him already.

Ryo, any official word on why he was dropped last Monday? It looks like his climbing wasn't a problem. Any crashes or punctures? Caught in a split? Took it easy on purpose?

We are not talking about the tour de l'avenir now are we? There's no way that reference could have been derived from your original statement. Anyway, I have nothing against him, he's a big talent no doubt.

So do we think Quintana will fall off or has JJ Haedo fulfilled our daily quota for South American crashes?

I haven't heard anything official yet I hope tonight but I think it had to do with that the climb wasn't too steep and quintana is very vulnerable in the flat or 4-5% climbs when there's a lot of speed, he might've been hold up by dropping riders. I don't know yet. this is pure learning for him but he has incredible raw talent. now it's up to atapuma let;'s hope :)

That's beside the point and not worth getting into. Aside from that, I see what you are trying to say and I agree to a certain extent.

to me he's a supertalent and he drops kruiswijk and all others to em it's a showing again, you have no idea appearantly that hoogerland, peterson (who is so hyped here) and kruiswijk are good climbers

Well that's good for you. To me, he's a big talent. Not a supertalent. However that might be because I haven't seen enough of him to make a proper assessment. Furthermore, that was quite a presumptuous statement about my lack of awareness of the climbing capabilities of Kruiswijk and Hoogerland. However, I feel that's a recurring theme with you so I'm not getting into that. Anyway, Hoogerland nor Kruiswijk have shown great form (nor should they, yet) up to this point and thus is not a good enough parameter to gauge on. We'll have to leave it at that.
