Too bad we didn't get to see The Netherlands vs Portugal at the World Cup 2010.

the scolari queiroz era almost ruined our team. all they wanted were naturalized brazilians. . . .

queiroz made like 5 mistakes in the players he took to the 2010 world cup. also ricardo costa player as right defender against spain? i lol'd irl when i saw that . . . oh and an out of form pepe too

p.s. anyway enough about football

this is obvious the end of the australian era this season and the start of the portuguese one. my bet is for the portuguese era to last until tomorrow

True that. I hope they get it sorted out. There's bound to be sparks in a Porugal - Holland match. Nerve-racking for the supporters and great for the neutrals.

wouldn't be entertaining, robben would tear portugal apart on his own, backed up by sneijder who turned everything into gold that WC even if playing ****ty.

Christ it must've been a boring stage to reduce all the conversation to football...
We don't know much about the stage, because the organizers want to keep their race under wraps.

Then I hope Advocaat returns as our national coach. This Robben guy is just too good, we need more Bosvelt.

It's like you actually believe what you just said there. :D

if portugal gets a decent coach, guys like robben and messi are just food for our defenders.

i mean, mainly thanks to f.c.porto, we have as defenders:

bosingwa
pepe
carvalho
b.alves
etc.

there's no one in the world with a team better than portugal. (exceptions: goalkeeper, left defender (now we have coentrao, but there's no one else) and a pure killer in the front (forget the skinny brazilian). also sometimes ronaldo is more of a problem than a solution. he isnt a warrior like bruno alves bosingwa or coentrao.)

our main problem is motivation. why run when you can f+ck portuguese hookers, russian hookers, and all the other hookers? right ronaldo?

if we were ugly like the dutchies we could easyle win everything worth it.

First of all that last sentence was uncalled for and you might want to be discrete when going about these things. There are many Dutch posters on this forum whom might take offense to such statements. Grow up. Secondly, I totally disagree with the rest of your post. However, this is not the place to get into that, hit me up on a football forum. Cheers.

Hey, blame the organizers. They're the ones who gave us a seven-day race with nothing to talk about after stage 3.

Considering how weak the sprinting field is here it's a wonder that someone like Andre Greipel, who loves winning "small shit races", is not here.

you mean germany right? seems like are the only ones that are still in a "stable" economical situation. still i think we will avoid the FMI(IMF in english?). portugal always manages to do it at the last second. like when we organized the euro 2004 (that many people still say was the best euro/world cup ever) 6 months before the competition the swiss guy from fifa almost aborted the competition in portugal because "nothing was ready". oh well but lets talk about happy things shall we?

i think i read petachi dnsed but i am not sure

the only reason germany is stable is because they have an export economy and are protecting their own economy and company's protectionism, which has extra bad effect on the countrys surrounding germany. so they are doing very selfish instead of trying to get out of this mess as one big economy.

I can't really understand what you're referring to. Protectionism within the EU is extremely difficult, since its illegal to impose any type of import quota, tariff, duty, charge, or any 'measure having equivalent effect' (to use EU speak) on imports from another member state. Subsidising any industry is difficult, and is regulated by the European Commission, and all EU member states have common measures when dealing with imports from outside the EU, so Germany is not better off in that respect than the Netherlands, or Latvia, or Malta.

Yes, it's strange that most teams didn't bring one decent sprinter... cheap WorldTour points everyone! Come and grab them!

It's been like that for many years. I remember Hushovd winning several stages in Catalunya over the years with Credit Agricole by being one of very few sprinters there.
