Stupid, stupid riding by Sky. How long did they think the climb was?

They have at least isolated the 2 riders, which makes getting away on the flat rather more plausible depending on the pace set by the group behind.

Pretty unlikely, but who knows.

and your suggestion for something more effective would of been...

there was only 2 options:

Wiggins attacks cobos team closes him down at tempo.
or
Froome attacks and hopes to get far enough head.

other options?

had the break been caught, things might've been more interesting ;)

Again, not sure what Froome is up to.
Aren't there bonus seconds still up for grabs?

Also, Sky never seem to want to put a man up the road.

Would it be better to ride for third than second? 8 second time bonus between 3rd and 4th, as opposed to 4 seconds between 2nd and 3rd

12 seconds between 2nd and 4th, you can't control where the other guy finishes.

Don't forget how much better Froome is at Time Trialing then Cobo. It's unlikely that he'll let him get away but one moment of inattentiveness by Cobo and Froome could take the 5 seconds he needs.

Attack when there's more than 500 meters to the top.

Why did he attack so near the top of the climb though, rather than on one of the steeper sections? Would have given himself more chance to open up a significant gap.

CA Sørensen is still in between. So all boni seconds are gone at the moment.

Looks like nothing will change today.

31 seconds at 8km to go - Bruseghin will pull some of that gap but Anton should have enough.
