Kittel loses 2.31 to Phinney in the first 13 k... I know he's taking it easy but come on, that's a bit much.

Especially given that Kittel is actually a really good time triallist when he puts his mind to it and was initially seen as more of a TT rider than a sprinter.

What's the time limit in a time trial like this? If Cancellara and all the other best ones blast through, it could become 3.30-4.00.

Nuyens has over 5 minutes to Phinney in the 2nd split. We could have some serious time gaps here. I don't think that Phinney is really doing a very good TT right now

Phinney with a 3.28 lead over Saramotins at 30k. Cancellara should be at 13.3 km in a minute or two.

3rd Under 23 World championships 24s behind Phinney to this, he is not trying.

Broadcasting only starts al 16.15 ... then only 14 riders still have to start and we'll already know the winner.

Cancellara should pas the 13k point in 1 minute, lets see how much faster he is.

Phinney 1st to 2nd time check is that 2 people he has passed ?
Ofcourse, only 1 minute between the riders. After 13k he was already at 10 seconds of both Nuyens and Saramotins.

Keizer has probably already caught Kittel, who started 3 minutes ahead of him. This didn't happen when they were both espoirs

Obviously. He was 4th in the U23 Worlds TT the year before, he went really early and set a time miles above everybody else, only to be removed from the podium by the last 3 riders of the day. I remember feeling very sorry for him.
