Earlier Froome has been unable to recover properly in 1 week races, sucking on a few stages. Now he's dominating the vuelta after 10 stages

Why?

The guys gaining a lot of time aren't considered dominant climbers. It's not like losing 3-4 minutes to Contador in an ITT where you just have to give up on the win. I'm sure many of them think they can take back minutes on the likes of Froome and Wiggins, so there will be more attacks.

What isn't? Nibali was always going to lose around this much to Wiggins. Froome is unexpected. Everything else is pretty normal except Menchov not doing that great.

Yeah I think this is great for the race. Forces riders who have nothing to lose (Rodriguez, VDB2, Mollema) to attack like crazy, and riders who are within shouting distance (Nibali, Fuglsang) to attack like sane people. Wigans and Froome are good climbers, but hardly explosive... lots of climbing to be done, and not final TT to fall back on.

Should be an exciting race.

Rodriguez and Scarponi are done for gc. They know it and will just hunt for stages now. JvdB still has a slight chance and Mollema can't be forgotten.
