2012 bold predictions

lolololol.

I predict Richie Porte to win the WC ITT if Cadel/ Contador does not start. I do not think Martin or Cancellara will win. I would say Wiggins but he is not that great on hilly courses even though he can now go up mountains ok.

I predict Pozzato to next year go quite well. If M-SR is aggressive next year i think he could podium.
I predict a bigger group of riders to finish maybe ( 20 ) but the attacking to be more. I think there could also be a lone cyclist out in front of that 20 ( Gilbert ) if no one wants to bring Thor to the finish. I could however envisage Martin chasing for Boonen ( who then smashes EBH, Goss and Thor in the sprint ).

ehmmmmmmm... no... not even BavarianRider thinks that... :p

Perhaps if he improves his climbing skills he could aim a good result. This is obviously a bold prediction. Maybe with a big lucky shot he could be near of the top. A realistic prediction points to Alberto Contador, who will smack all the competition in next years´ Tour.

It's a GPS-sponsored team. I think we might've already discussed the solution. :p
I think he's actually learned the lesson...

I hope so for him, but because of him I feel even more sorry then I already did for Michael Rasmussen. Poor guy lol.

That's a pretty bold prediction indeed, as he has said he won't be doing the cobbled classics next year.

I thought he was doing cobbles and the giro and then switching to the track?

Cav to win MSR.
Gesink to stay on his bike all year, and then do pretty well - top 5 at the tour.
Anton to win the Vuelta and FW.
Gilbert will not repeat his treble - but will win LBL (ok not that bold!).
Sky win a cobbled classic.
Pozzato returns to form and wins the other one.

If Sky utilise their team well with Hayman ( perfect road captain/ stronger than Flecha at P-R ), Flecha and EBH they could win a cobbled race. It's a pity there is no Geraint doing them but oh well. I wonder if Stannard/ Sutton could be developed to evolve into cobbled riders as well.

I agree that Anton will win the Vuelta, because it is his season goal. However it will only happen if Contador is too tired from the TDF ( which would mean he won ). If he cannot win the TDF he will win the Vuelta though and Anton will come 2nd.
