Somehow, in the next month, Andy is going to eat his way out of the cocoon to emerge as the perfect ITT butterfly, ready to vanquish the evil butterfly slayers of the world? Stranger things have happened, I guess, but I haven't seen them. Andy was very slow on Sunday, not a good sign.

Well seriously.
Time gaps in TT are alawys much smaller when it rains. I dont actually know why this is the case. But one can clearly observe that.
I think it is not true, when you look at certain TT's where even Tony Martin rode in the rain he demolished the field, like in the Deutschland tour of 2008. Grabsch did his TT in dry conditions and still Tony won easily :)

1 Tony Martin (Ger) Team Columbia 39.49.11
2 Bert Grabsch (Ger) Team Columbia 34.27
3 Gustav Erik Larsson (Swe) Team CSC - Saxo Bank 48.27
4 Linus Gerdemann (Ger) Team Columbia 1.17.25
5 Vladimir Karpets (Rus) Caisse d'Epargne 1.43.74
6 Thomas Lövkvist (Swe) Team Columbia 1.52.48
7 Raivis Belohvosciks (Lat) Scott - American Beef 2.23.37
8 Janez Brajkovic (Slo) Astana 2.31.30
9 Dominik Roels (Ger) Team Milram 2.32.70
10 Jussi Veikkanen (Fin) Française des Jeux 2.40.11
11 Tanel Kangert (Est) AG2R La Mondiale 2.48.68
12 Paul Martens (Ger) Rabobank 2.54.22
13 Daniel Navarro Garcia (Spa) Astana 2.56.13
14 Aitor Hernandez Gutierrez (Spa) Euskaltel - Euskadi 2.56.67
15 Maxime Monfort (Bel) Cofidis - Le Crédit par Téléphone 2.58.18
16 Koos Moerenhout (Ned) Rabobank 3.05.32
17 Markel Irizar Aranburu (Spa) Euskaltel - Euskadi 3.05.82
18 Markus Fothen (Ger) Gerolsteiner 3.08.52

I think Martin likes the bad weather, he is very strong and can make the difference in a hard time trial, definitively not so bad for Martin, Wiggins and the time gaps if it is bad weather on thursday, hope to see a great time trial

I am not so sure. Tony is not the best bikehandler. So rain is really not good for him in corners and so on.
I have also read several interviwes were he says he doesn't like rain, but he likes to ride in warm conditions. I hope it'LL be dry. But a strong headwind would be nice:D

At the moment he is so powerfull he can win any time trial (above 15 k) no matter what the conditions are, but we'll see maybe a Wiggins in great form can beat him in the TT

Which TT was this, is this the one when Vino was disqualified afterwoods?

Edit: 2007 Tour when he failed the doping test and was disqualified.
