Gilbert: past his prime?
What the hell is up with him?

Good race by Astana and BMC, but Radioshack were better, and Cance was awesome. Can definitely see him winning MSR.

Cancellara standing on the podium does not look like he wants to be there. no smiles, made no effort for the kisses from the short podium girls. Strange.

I don't understand. Jus some post ago there was people complaining about being only 10 km of racing in italian classics.

This was great to watch if you ask me. Good job from Radioshack. Bennati move has it's merits in tiring van avermaet. Ballan consumed more energy then it should too.

Now to the (beautiful) finish in Siena.

Erm, I wasn't complaining. All I said was that the final usually explodes in the final 10km in these Italian races. Which is basically what happened with attack of GVA who was then countered by a very strong Cancellara.

Does the UCI track the sporting value points somewhere? Just curious, no biggie if you don't know.

as far as I know it's a pretty ambiguous system.

However I believe Ingsve knows a fair bit about the system, if interested I would PM him.

regardless these results still count to the sporting value points, in regards to attaining a WT license I mean.

Well apparently they do ;)

Unfortunately only seen the last 16km. Good enough to see it was a great day of racing again.

Impressive win by Spartacus. Hope they grow this race into a WT race, maybe the Italians will wake up and actually go and watch this race, because I really missed a crowd here while the race certainly deserved a big one!

argh! BMC so unlucky!!! How long do I have to wait for their first win!!

Unlucky? They just were up against a much stronger Cancellara and a good Bennati. Nothing unlucky about it really.

There's a poster called Nicosix who seems to be the expert on that system.
