Ignore the doper fanboy who thinks that a race his favorite doper is riding at is automatically better and always has been regardless of the facts.

lol

since 2006 tirreno was hands down better than paris-nice.i didn't say always better.and this year will be the same.

I think you did not watch Paris Nice 2006,2007,2009,2010 which were excellent editions.

Maybe in 2008 and 2011 the races were equals.

But the big difference is that Tirreno is a race for sprinter-puncher whereas Paris-Nice is for all rounders.

2006 decided by the TT

2007 decided by the TT

2008 decided by the TT

2011 nearly decided by the TTT

yeah, better

The only great T-A stage that I can remember from the "better editions" was the one to Camerino in 2009.

The rest are a blur of interchangeable uphill sprints up ramps of various difficulty

i had favourite riders or dopers how you like to call them in both races.it's no secret that i love italian races more than french ones.tirreno adriatico for me has another kind of flavour then paris-nice, it reminds me that il giro is coming.

Have to agree with the others. You are talking out of your rear end.
Paris-Nice: Simply the best week stage race of half the past decade.
Tirreno-Adriatico: Mostly mediocre.

Still don't like the look of this "old fashioned" P-N, though.

Another joke parcours. Regardless of Tirreno, the last two Paris Nice routes have been awful.

Yay! A return to the old style course when Klodi won (2000) :)

Small MTT at the end is great. Plus a short ITT to start with is good too. And great to see Mende in there. But are there no other remotely relevant GC stages? No other MTF's or at least significant climbs within 30 kms of a finish?

Looks like a pretty dire parcours. Hopefully the sprint stages have a lot of side and cross winds to split things up.

And the last Dauphine, the last Tour de l'Avenir, likely the 2012 Tour and what's been revealed of the 2013 isn't looking too great. Pescheux can't retire soon enough.

Even the very remote possibility of climbing Montagne de Lure on stage 6 won't stop the race from being a turkey.
