A Dutch rider, an American rider, and somebody from a nationality I didn't recognize tried to form the breakaway du jour, but never got much more than about ten meters or so. Looks like it will take some time for the break to be established.

Looks like it's Great Britain doing the job enforcing things at the front, no idea who the Brits expect to win...still no successful break yet.

Tailwind on the Cauberg btw, there was headwind all week but today the wind direction changed.
Good for puncheurs. Less good news for sprinters

so did I and he definitely has the form
I also think it's a mistake to think that Sagan is out of shape. I mean, why would he be? This is his big goal. He's had the last two months to prepare himself for this.

I also think he was pretty strong in the Canadian races, especially Montréal where he did a lot of work and probably didn't care to sprint/was tired - besides he had Moser up there who wins that race 9/10 times.

Also, Sagan was very strong in last sunday's TTT, don't forget that.

And considering that the course isn't superhard, I doubt he will be dropped. He was the 4th strongest rider in RVV this year (He flew up Paterberg the last time.), and was 3rd in AGR, both races definately harder than today's race. Sagan will be there in the end, I'm sure of it.

There was a rider (Harmon said from Argentina) about to bridge across to Lindeman/Roy, right before Freire hit the grass...haven't seen an update, as Eurosport went to pay the bills.

Obviously it's a very open race, but I love how Sagan is getting under a lot of people's guard (form not great, lack of team support, distance a query etc etc). Despite all that he is still the one to beat.

at least, he won't be alone this time.

Looks like they all came back together during the commercial break from both directions, and a Czech rider (Stanislav Kozubek) goes off the front...
