I know it was the route. I was just trying to say that the route should give the riders the opportunity to ride like this, and then the riders should race!

Matthews is the Aussie in the group.

He has a good sprint if he can survive till the end, however the Aussies are now contributing to the chase by the peloton

I'm surprised they're working, but not because it's a weird tactical decision (with guys like Urán and Betancur, it makes perfect sense), but because I thought they weren't going to ride as a team. Good to see they want to be a factor.
