Please - no rain on the day, let it all come down in the days before if that is the wish.

Why? I am taking the plunge and going from Oz to Belgium to watch all from Flanders through to Liege, and would rather not do it whilst looking like a drowned rat.

Umbrellas and rain clothing are your friends! :D

And don't worry; if it rains I'll be sitting in front of the telly feeling really sorry for you! :p

A sunny Paris-Roubaix is already the hardest single-day race in the calendar. Don't be so fussy.

We (viewers) would rather gain in a rainy Tour of Flanders.

The Amis de Paris-Roubaix have done a great job in the last few years to make the sections safer while keeping their hardness. They should be praised. All voluntary workers. :)

Which section is this?

Previous Paris Roubaix Race Results

I don't know if anyone here can help but I can't find the Race Reports for the 2011, 2010 or 2009 Paris Roubaix on the site. I don't know why but from Google all I come accross is the CN 2012 page with no reference to previous pages. Can someone post the direct links if they can find them? Thanks!

HERE IS HINCAPIE AND AND A YOUNG TOM BOONEN RIDING FOR THE POSTIES IN 2002:

This is it what it is supposed to be about the joys of it.

I had forgotten that Boonen podiumed at P-R ten years ago. Here is a quote from the cyclingnews report on that race: "Aside from Museeuw's performance, the ride of the day certainly belongs to 21 year old Belgian Tom Boonen (USPS), who had a sensational day to finish third.... Perhaps the shape of things to come where Belgian classics riders are concerned, Boonen has been a top amateur for years in Belgium, with lots of experience on the pavé...."

Not a bad prediction.

Paris-Roubaix wildcards have been announced..

Bretagne-Schuller, Cofidis, Farnese Vini, 1t4i, Saur, Europcar, NetApp.

Why do NetApp + Bretagne get invited while 3 teams full of cobbled riders (Landbouwkrediet, Veranda's and Topsport Vlaanderen) miss out?

Yeah I know NetApp are some kind of partner with the ASO + RCS but their squad is just pathetic.

Don't know if there's much of a difference between having 3 French teams that won't do anything and 4 French teams that won't do anything.

Im thinking flanders and roubaix will be canc vs boonen. Pozzato might be up there in those races considering how fast he has been recovering and getting into shape. Chavanel should be Boonens right hand man marking early attacks. Not so sure I believe Goss will be up there in either flanders or roubaix. I can see him maybe taking ghent wevelgem though. Also, I dont think haussler will be too competitive in those races either. Does anyone know what happened to him at MSR? did he get caught behind the crash like boonen?

Got caught behind the Gilbert crash apparently

The cobbled classics are going to be fun this year! FC looks to have some serious TT power back, and he is climbing relatively well (at least on the climbs we've seen him on).

TB is looking lean and mean, but I am not so sure he has what it takes anymore ... hope he proves me wrong.

I cannot see anyone else ripping up these races. Thor? Ummmm, no.

Perhaps some other new faces?
