and who will be pushing such pace that no1 can attack?

I think the same answer is the one which is provided to the question concerning why didnt Scarponi attack earlier on stage 19 etc etc...

And even if they are capable of attacking that does not influence whatsoever the fact that Evans will be able to follow or ride his way up in time.
It will just be harder for him than last year, the thing i dont get is that you are stating all these riders who are attacking yet these riders are also capable enough of staying in the group and therefore the group will supposedly will be as big as last year. The pressure will not be on Evans in most likelihood to chase but rather UK postal and possibly RSNT.

Age has caught Cuddles. Top 5 or worse for him this year. He will fade like Basso.
Let the youngsters rise: time to see a nice Gesink vs Schlecklet vs Nibbles vs Rolland mega battle in the mountains.
Vanendert also.

Bring it on FFS, just derail the BMC + UK Postal snoozefest.

barely. he got 2 seconds. extrapolate that to a major mountain 20k descent and you get a whopping 6 seconds.

what a clearly better descender.

You know better than that, Evans went away on the decent and they spent the whole flat working together to get back to him, at the line it was 2 seconds.
I maintain Evans is an excellent descender in the wet, good in the dry. Guys like Sanchez are much better in the dry than Evans.

other teams need to isolate and wiggins and evans, so hopefully they push the pace on the earlier climbs and not let sky dictate the pace.

no1 is talking about early, imo those 2 days of racing was an anomaly and i highly doubt that kind of racing will happen again this year (even tho the la toussine stage is a good stage for that)

they can still attack on the last climb like it usually happens.

Early is what happens when someone knows they are out of it but need to take a chance. If a climber who can't TT is 2 minutes down with an up and down day, and one long TT to come they will go before the final climb, maybe penultimate, unless they are resigning themselves to not winning.
I'm hoping all the climbers get spanked in the first TT. Just so they have an idea what may happen over 50+

RSNT, liqui, EE vs BMC, SKY, OPQS
Don't know what Katusha will do.

This could be a really tough tour to control.

as above"
Rabobank/euskatel and rsnt should send some of their riders in early breaks and put pressure on the above mentioned riders and teams.otherwise i fear a procession daily until the final kms of each stage.

Heaps of you guys were complaining last year that not enough early selection to reduce the pressure at the front which lead to all the crashes.

As such, we need major time lossess by climbers in first TT to force some action.

remembering it can't be just any rider, but an actual threat to GC that must go up the road.

Totally,even their climbing domestiques??

Horner, zubeldia, kloden would ring some alarm bells I should think. If any of them cross the line with more than 5 minutes in hand everyone else may have a problem. I don't think 5 minutes is enough, but anything under noone will worry about.
