Anyone know which team just sat up and went off the back? 3 of them? Maybe leading the group just off the back?

that's only if the peloton finishes together though, and it wont

 Not so

If a rider crashes in final 3km he will get the time of the main group whatever

Not in stages classified as medium mountain stage, uphill stage or mountain stage I believe.

Since they tumble on dual-carriageways, it will be Armageddon when they hit the 3 metre wide stretch at 5km from the finish.

Same as last year's first stage.
When will these cretins learn?

It's bound to cost somebody.

They should all take a leaf out of Sky and BMC's book and get their riders up there if they want to have any chance of winning.

This is a 'flat stage' so 3km rule counts - I think?

Maybe it was Ag2r going back. Peraud just making it back on now with a few team-mates, he said after Paris-Nice that he still finds it difficult getting position in the bunch (he is an ex-mountain biker).

That was the whole point I was making! The Eurosport guys said it was calssified as a sprint stage. Plus the letour.fr page says it's a flat one.
Therefore 3km rule, me thinks.

Taaramae keeping himself safe in the front, he would definitely not want to fall on this stage after the last few months he has had

4 Cofidis at the front. Someone very short there so it looks like they fancy Dumoulin's chances of picking up a place. (Will be keeping Taaramae up there too.)
