nice to see Alejandro up front!!
also finally some Liqui team action even tough the pace by Nerz was way too slow to do any harm to the rivals...

Not harsh. When you put your entire team up front and don't even attack in one of the hardest descents, when you clearly are the best descender, you deserve nothing. Let Valverde win and VDB 'kill' Nibali on the climb.

One of the less technical descents in this Tour.

Point is that Liquigas completely gave up for the overall. They want to win the stage. So they don't want to risk Nibali blows himself with a solo attack. I do believe Nibali should have attacked on the descent too, but that's not cowardy.

One of the hardest descents? its basically straight road

Well, in this Tour de France, this was one of his best opportunities for him to gain some time. There are way harder descents, but they're either not in the Tour or somewhere on the route where attacking makes no sense at all.

Can't wait to have Contador and Schleck back. At least some riders who always attack and don't think 'Wooohooo I am third, let's have a party'.

I admit, one of the hardest descents was quite a stupid thing to say, but it was a good opportunity to at least try something. Death or glory. Otherwise you'll never win a thing.

Schleck made one (1) early attack in all his life.
Contador made maybe 2 or 3.

Nobody was going to get dropped on that descent. It wasn't a good opportunity. Actually, it wasn't even an opportunity at all.

Maybe someone would get dropped if they went the wrong way... ;)

So the TDF has a number of post mountain descends, and none of them are hard/technical enough to favour a skilled descender...

Have you seen Wiggins on the descents? Nibali could easily gain some time and put the pressure on him and Froome. Valverde and Costa made mistakes in the descent as well, they're better than Wiggins in a descent.

The lack of entertainment doesn't bother me. Like yesterday - Froome's tourettes does. Looking down, up, down, up, down.

Oh, and his glasses bothers me as well.

Nobody goes from being completely gassed to riding GC contenders off his wheel, and back again, like Froomedog.
