Rogers is in a better shape now for sure. Hagen was lacking a kick even today. I guess its simple for SKy: if the race go hard Rogers will be the leader. If EBH will stay in front group im sure Rogers will try to help him in the final sprint.

Willunga Hill is way too short to be Rogers territory, I'll be astonished if EBH doesn't beat him up it both times.

Actually I now heard that EBH struggled a bit on the climb today so he might be in worse shape than I thought. Who knows, Rogers could be in top shape...

Seems like Valverde lost speed. Could be a combination of him having lost weight and his long inactivity.
Yes. Because Valverde used to win flat sprints against Freire and Hagen all and co all the time.

Read this....Unbelievable!

If it was actually the race organizers who handed out the fines, then maybe they are trying to recoup some of those millions the coughed up to a certain Texan "personality"? (or racketeer if you prefer);)

they got dropped on a climb.

What? Thomas De Gendt, David Garcia, Romain Sicard, Danielle Ratto etc got dropped for 7 minutes by Bennati, Ciolek, Haussler:eek:

With De Gendt it's a bit strange though. If you can get 4th on Alpe d'Huez, even in half decent shape you should at least get over a hill with the best 40 in this race.

They sat up and stopped chasing when they realised they wouldn't catch.

Yeah, but on a short climb like this it's more about positioning, so he just probably got caught at the back, that all

De Gendt is not on form. It's just a warm-up race, basically. Besides, he has always been a very inconsistent rider.

I haven't seen the stage but... how on earth did De Gendt manage to lose time today?

Oscarito, still a miracle on two wheels. "I haven't trained much, just at team camp in December, I don't feel so great". Boom, two days later he wins.

gotta love oscarito a miracle on two wheels is indeed a good way to describe him

just saw the sprint and it seems like he still has some speed left in him after all
