I for one enjoy watching JTL, but this "god" people are banding about is just daft.

Dropping Samu, yeh, Samu is a great climber but hes had a poor season with injuries!

Come on people, lets get a grip. Its Gun Hill, not Vontoux!

Non-believers will burn in righteous fire. ;)

That was embarrassing from Wiggo today, was must Knees be thinking that Wiggo would rather ride backwards then try to repay him for all the support he has given him this year? JTL is going to be EPIC tomorrow though, it wouldn't surprise me if he laps the whole field on the second climb of Caerphilly mountain.

Do you have a Portuguese brother?

Cav gives the race it's sh*t small stamp of disapproval.
Wiggins turning around to "fetch" him, the ultimate embarrassment.
El P can have a field day......

It was Wiggins giving the race its **** small stamp of disapproval. Cav was cooked.

What happened to Eisel in all of this? Normally he'd be the one to go back for Cav.

It's Rowe who should be disappointed not Knees. If Wiggins had brought that second group back to the first one then that would hardly have improved Knees' chances (who was in the front group already).

Can't even believe Sky's plan was to defend the gold jersey for Cav in the first place - he will never be a GC man, the best sprinter on the planet but not a GC contender

Eisel just crossed the line now. There must have been a crash or something.

I have no idea whether or not Rowe could have been helped back but leaving Knees alone was a big risk, albeit one they got away with.

Well how exactly was Wiggins supposed to help Knees once he'd been caught at the back of the second group?

By not poncing about back there in the first place perhaps?

Well that's the problem with no radios as normally Cav or the DS could have told Wiggins to not bother waiting. I'd imagine Eisel is the road captain so him being dropped before Cav (due to a crash?) was probably what caused the **** up.

I had high hopes (as I live local to the stage tomorrow), there's some hard climbs and some long exposed stretches. One spot in particular I'd spotted for splitting the race as it's really exposed, comes after the climb out of Oakamoor and given the forecast tomorrow is a good place to attack. And what've they done? Put the f**king feed zone there. Hopefully Sky will drill it in the gutter through the feed :p but I doubt it.

Tomorrow is a hard stage but the run-in into Stoke is too flat I fear.

You got your wish. I was at the Oakamoor feed zone and Endura smashed it through there. Not one rider got a feed trust me. At least half the peloton were fighting to stay on in the cross winds.

Geat stage today with some great performances out there. Thought Endura were fantastic and UHC have really given the race a good go.

****ed off with Sky not supporting Luke Rowe mind. Previous years I thought they tried too hard. This year too many don't seem to be bothered.

"Olympic time trial gold medallist Wiggins isn’t in top shape and is also expected to act as a domestique deluxe for Rowe during stage six of the eight-stage race."

Cav said: “Luke is such a good bike rider he could win the overall.

“I’m really happy to have gone into the lead, and although I can’t see myself keeping the jersey, we’d like to keep it in the team.

“Luke’s going really well, so he’s up for it, and although I’ll try my hardest to stay on top, as long as the team keeps hold of it I’ll be happy.”

Oh Wiggins :( What were you thinking...

A big well done to Josh Edmondson the only U23 GB lad to finish with the main pack today (so I am told).

Local lad to me, races for Colpack in Italy, look out for this kid!

I wondered who the GB rider was. Pretty big talent. I remember he won a few races for what is now Node 4 before he went to Italy.

Eisel was way back before Cav even got dropped.

Ended up getting home too late to make it Oakamoor so saw it come up through Onecote, Dave Clarke and JTL just putting in a dig as they came past. By the time I cut across Morridge to see the race before Gun Hill it was in pieces. Great racing on a hard day. De Maar did a great ride to stay away in the headwind final kms.

Yeah he either crashed or he was one of the riders who indulged in a bit of drinking at the hotel last night (as alluded to by Richard Moore, journalist, on twitter).

Aye, I read that too.

If thats the case well shame on Sky, this race should be taken as seriously as any other.
