Listened to 5 Live this morning, about how Cav could 'claw back' time from his current 2nd place :D

Just goes to show what a real interest the Beeb take in cycling. Cav currently 35th in GC some 11 minutes down

He looked completely dead most of the day yesterday. Wouldn't get your hopes up too much.
It's really ridiculous he's been selected for the Spanish Worlds team. Spain, where they have hundreds of riders who can climb a hill, manage to select the one rider who (perfectly understandably) can't have any sort of form at the moment.

He was swinging on the back on the flat at 4km to go and then sat up inside the last km. He may be sandbagging but it didn't look that way to me.

The attitude of Wiggo and Sky has bugged me this race tbh.

Why? Winning three stages? And if he genuinely has stomach issues? The attitude of most on here bug me to be honest.

The way way Wiggins was bossing people around yesterday and then the **** take of tactics just made to show they cannot race without race radios, something that was highlighted in the Olympics.

I don't know really, they are a massive team, but maybe they are getting too big for their boots. Wiggo is out of the bus, head down and straight for the start line, no interaction with the massive crowd outside the bus.

I don't know. Maybe its the masses of people with Sky kits on with no idea of racing or cycling thats added to my discomfort of Sky?

Well it's the biggest crowds I've seen forthe tour of Britain, and wiggins is responsible. I'm not sure where the outage of him of not signing autographs is, I've seen a fair few photos of him doing so. And sky are still tactically inept, something which brailsford alludes to in road to glory. This tour would have been dull without sky's inability to control a race

They remind me too much of all those people who started wearing USPostal kit.

As cycling fans shouldnt you be happy more people are taking an interest in the sport?

Seeing all the school kids out on the 1st climb in Brocton yesterday can only be a good thing (I think as Elvis sang - "little less playstation, a little more exercise please") :p
Took me back to when I was at school and we were let out to watch the Milk Race.
Whether or not people like Sky or not the influence they are having with the British Public can only be good.

Shame Wiggins has pulled out as the British mainstream media are only really interested in reporting how Wiggins and Cavendish do and haven't really mentioned JTL etc. I hope this doesn't lead to less people being interested in the remaining stages. Though I'm no fan of Team Sky, I do want to see cycling succeed in the UK.

It was in Stoke yesterday when he did that, reminded me of his attitude in Amsterdam, he was the same, very little interaction with the fans who paid money to go support him & the other brits there.

Sky controlled most of the breaks in the Tour, they did ok on the first stage of this. As soon as they have zero race radio and people attack them they fall to bits!

It is great to see more people out enjoying the sport, but its going to take more interest and money from our (British) media to change people attitudes. I was on the climb at Morridge on Monday. As soon as the peloton and the cars had passed people jumped and their cars and were off. I got on my bike with my mate on his and we both cycled up the hill. We were nearly hit by cars 3 times, and these were from people who had attended the viewing of the climb!

Talk of Wiggo not bothering to sign autographs is complete nonsense. I was at Trentham Gardens yesterday and he spent a good amount of time signing autographs as did Cav, Rowe and Knees.

BW said from day 1 he was not here to win it and with 3 stage wins and Knees currently 5th in GC they haven't had a bad Tour.

I was there too, so I must have missed the signings. He must have done that before signing on.
