I have a hard time seeing Duggan as a potential ally in that break...
Sure he gives Liquigas a (rather weak) excuse not to chase, but his team leader Nibali is back in the bunch, with Horner up in the break. He shouldn't be pulling through, and definitely wouldn't do it just to work for Horner...

Time for horner to use the Vino method?

There is a brush fire up on Mt. Baldy. Emergency vehicles are on their way to the scene, via the race route. We'll have more as that news develops.

The riders carry water bottles, right? That will help with the fire, so the race must go on! :D:D:D

This would be awful if the stage is shortened due to the fire.

This has collaboration written all over it!! Or maybe the tour organizers made a deal with the big teams, making cycling more like pro wrestling?? Put on a big show, the fans won't know the difference!!

I fully expected to see DZ on the front pulling for Garmin, soon enough as he is in front of Tommy D and Talansk.

Dunno how much energy Horner's gonna have left for the final climb up mt.Baldy.. They seem to have to go all out to maintain the 1:50 gap..

Lol the commentators say 'Robert hesink' it's 'Robert Gesink' haha
Americans seem to have a hard time with the letter 'G' :)

That brush fire report depends a whole lot on where it is. If it's up high, they'll probably get a handle on it quickly. If it's down low, it will be bigger, but it's too early in the year for the fuel to *really* heat up and create an inferno.

The terrain there is incredibly steep. If this were September and a fire start at the bottom of one of those slopes, it's an inferno (literally) in no time.

It's been a while since I've been out there. They've turned the lower wash into more suburbia.
