Sky seems ridiculous with Wiggins,Froome,Porte,Rodgers and EBH

Btw, the profile is hilly and it finishes just after Cauberg

Sky or OPQS. Martin, Leipheimer, Velits, Grabsch, Chavanel - they can field a solid team.

If Wiggins decides to pitch depending on the outcome at the Olympics and if Froome doesnt capitulate in the Vuelta if he even starts then Sky otherwise probably even so Sky or maybe OPQS

We'll get a good test at the Eneco Tour. Sky might even send Wiggins there now he's not doing the Vuelta. Probably not though.

You left out Omega Pharma Quick Step though. Sylvain Chavanel, Nikki Terpstra, Michal Kwiatkowski, Tony Martin, Bert Grabsch and Tom Boonen can be a lethal combination.

I voted for Radioshack but it really depends on who's riding.
Have they decided the teams yet?

Still hate this idea. Even more so with trade teams rather than national teams..

Sky win.

In a normal year, BMC could have had a good team for this - Evans, Pinotti, Phinney, Van Garderen, Hushovd.

But given the form of Thor & Cadel, I doubt they will go even remotely close.

In current form, I think Sky will win easily.

Orica/GreenEdge may give the Podium a nudge. Depends on where it is in the Program and National Team priorities in the Individual events.

Why don't they just bring back the barachi trophy, since it can be contested by many countries: you need only two cyclists. smaller countries can be allowed an extra rider and have the race before the main TT.

The World are a few months away. To say that Cadel and maybe even Thor couldn't get better is nonsense. BMC also have some other good guys such as Bookwalter and Quinziato who would be good in such an event.

Can't see anyone with a serious shot at the individual wanting to ride this event at all, so it could end up a bit of a joke.

Which is what we hope for so next year we won't get this farce again.

In theory it could be a fun event, but the practice of asking people to ride 50km+ hard 3 days before their main event is just stupid.

OPQS had a very strong set of prologues and opening ITTs, though.

Conventional wisdom about sprinters and prologues helping a TTT is based on 9 man teams covering 20km courses. This should be a very different affair.

Even without sprinters and prologue riders the team is still strong. With a hilly course rides like Boonen/Terpstra/Stybar or whoever may be useful.

I'm sure they'll be good, but for 53km in a 6 man team you want 6 proper TTers. OPQS will put out a very strong team on that basis too.

Event is a bit of a joke however - can't imagine Aussie selectors will be impressed with Porte and Rogers being asked to go balls to the wall before the ITT. Can't see Tony, Fabian or Brad bothering.

Needs to be a week earlier or later.

That is a fair point.

Vaughters has brought on Rosseler and Rasmussen basically only for this event, so apparently at least some teams take it seriously.

I don't think Aussie selectors will have much say in the matter... after all, who pays these riders?
