Managed to stay in 6th despite poor showing. If Cancellara does wins Ronde and PR as well I will fall well down though.

I'm afraid that of the 12 teams that have Cancellara, you are 11th, so you need someone other than Spartacus to provide the points that will get you into the top 10.

Pozzato and Hushovd aren't the ones who will move you up much either: 12 of those ahead of you have Thor, and 8 have Pippo.

If its any consolation, you are 2nd out of those who eschewed Geraint Thomas.

If Gilbert gaining points is your main threat, then Ruudzor and Hugo are your nearest challengers that have that card to play. But neither of them have any of today's top ten, so your margin over them is about 550.

Hopefully Howes will get in a break and get a decent result, as much that he gets an element of freedom in the Ardennes (he's in my main team too).

Not much. Madrazo came 16th, netting 5 points for al pacino, but not enough to raise him above the 35th position he already held.

The Ronde netted rather more points, predictably, than the GP Indurain.

It didn't necessarily make a great difference though, as the top two scorers were our overall leaders, further extending their margin on anyone else.

It would appear that the only likely challenge to the top two is Ruudzor via a 2011-esque Ardenne season from Gilbert.
