why can't they have a finish at the end of a descent like this? Riders who can't ride a bike shouldn't be protected so much

I think Astana has Kangert sitting on Wiggins in the event Wiggins is distanced, when and if the Sky borg bridges, Nibbles will have an ally in that group.
