Technical overview:
A shortish (169 kms), flat stage with long sections along the coast (with high chance of wind). The riders will pass a first time through the finish before having two laps in a 16 kms long circuit (by Eshnar)

Main contenders:
**** Cavendish
*** Degenkolb, Viviani, Bouhanni
** Goss, Ventoso, Gavazzi
* Nizzolo, Chicchi, Blythe, Modolo, Bole, Belletti, Dehaes

Sprinter teams can't f*ck this up.

Soft breeze in the weather forecast. Anyway, the final loop would kill any chance of crosswind splits. I'd rather watch a replay of Scheldeprijs.

Yeah, this one has "Cavendish" written all over it. Maybe Viviani or Bouhanni can make it look close.

Tomorrow is one of the few stages in this Tour to be excited about. Finally see an exciting sprint stage after to many boring mountain and classic stages.

Can anybody open the stage 7?

you go ahead open one.
It will be very interesting, are they going to all out attack W? or race conservatively to save the energy for ITT next day?

Non-event stage this one. Cav will probably take this one. Doubt if Cross-winds will make a huge impact.

Technical run-in with tight bends, narrowing of roads, lots of road paint and hump-backed bridges a la Giro?

It's a bank holiday and then they put you up with this. Couldn't be worse.

What bank holiday? It's a normal day in Italy

Anyway I've got a feeling Gavazzi might take this, dunno why.
