wiggins would be good in certain classics if he competed in them
But he never did that, thus he lacks experience in this kind of situations.

yes. Isn't that obvious? Both Nibali and Hesjedal are quite good in classics. Wiggins isn't.

For me not. Given how many people voted for Nibali, they had no doubt he would gain eternity in the high mountains

There are not only high mountains in GTs.

But we know which correlation of forces high mountains can give and what 'classic stages' can do. :) it's difficult to compare.

I'm not comparing. Just pointing out that maybe all those guys think Nibali is gonna gain enough time in both mountains and classic stages.

I think Betancur could win here as well.

It looks like a stage that has an unpredictability about it which will make it difficult for teams to control so I couldn't see the likes of Uran and Henao giving a chance to do something here at Wiggins's expense. They will be under strict orders here.

Looking forward to it.

Hopefully there will be high pace from the start, then Betancur,Scarponi,Vini,Hesjedal to attack,Lo Squalo react. The key for Wiggins in this stage is colombian duo,if they **** him,he will be in trouble.
I hope they wont just sit in a bunch, the fatigue thing before TT is bs,cos they can fatigue Wiggins too.

My gut feeling is RH and MS want to do something here, this LBL alike profile suits them very much. They already demonstrated in the spring and the rumor is this up and down road tend to cause SKY powermeter malfunction.:D Nibali will be forced to join the party.

Well I think that neither Wiggins nor Nibali wants really this stage to be raced hard. However there are others who'll try to spice things up , especially Scarponi he likes those kinds of races , also Hesjedal seems to really want to go crazy , so it's fairly possible that we are going to see him tommorow.

Also Evans may be able to do well here , I pick him for the win tomorrow , unless he chooses play it like nibbles and wiggo.

This, when you look at the big rivals of Wiggins you see that this stage suits pretty much all of them much better than Wiggins, can't ask for better opportunities than this.

We're just dreaming ofc, this won't happen because they lack brain and balls

i dont think they lack either brain or balls and will no doubt try something if the opportunity presents itself, but things have to fall right for them to have success. u cant just attack like crazy - that IS brainless.

p.s. for what its worth i dont think Nibali will gain a single second off wiggins in the high mountains, and may well lose a lot

You forgot to mention that it could happen if all the riders you've listed would have ridden for one team.

why not? W is the biggest GC favorite, together destroy W first, then destroy each other. Very plausible and logical.

No, it just a hypothetical anti Wiggins scenario. Solving racing tasks doesn't automatically mean to do anything possible and impossible to derail Wiggins. Riders' interests never coincide that much. That's the reason why we don't see alliances or see them extreremely rarely.
