It was not a prediction but a joke about how henao was going to drop back and help wiggins like he had to drop back and keep wiggins yesterday.

Keep up;)

Henao will drop back purposedly just to give wiggins a morale boost that he has catched two people at this point.:p:p

I don't think there was anything wrong with the bike per se, I think Wiggins just wasn't comfortable with it.

I don't think the weather will turn out to be a big factor regarding Wiggins vs. Nibali. Either Wiggins rapes the course anyway, or if his form is as mediocre as it looked in the first week, even a big win here won't win him the Giro.

Let's see how it turns out before whining, ok? ;)

It's a pretty huge deal. Nibali and Co are far superior bike-handlers and therefore could make time up on corners, but if it rains for them and not Wiggo it's going to be a massacre and the giro will be all but over.

Tempted to agree, but do you really think that he would turn up planning to ride a bike he hadn't ridden for a lot of hours and got very comfortable was better than the previous one?

The Astana rider (don't know his name) interviewee on RAI said the roads are very slippery and was hard to control his bike.

As the second half of the course is quite different to the first - Is there a chance this second bike of Wiggins could have a different set-up.

Interested what people might think ???

So is that the final sign? I don't think his mindset is there, though that could just be the result of his form not being there either though.

I agree, very bad sign. The bike almost certainly was fine, he just wasn't going as fast as he thought he should be going, because his legs aren't "there".

That's my interpretation anyway.

He wouldn't be throwing it like that if it was planned.

Seriously, I've been using my 1500€ Specialized for three years now and I've never had a mechanical, puncturing only once, and these guys with bikes ten times as pricy keep having problem after problem...

He looks definitely better right now

Really? Maybe I'm not fully awake, but he looks the same (allowing for differences in the bike (I assume he's on the standard pinarello tt bike and not the prototype).

Pinarello just finished it and Wiggins didn't ride it in the TTT either.

Don't they ride like a dozen times more and more intense than you do?
