I don't think the weather will turn out to be a big factor regarding Wiggins vs. Nibali. Either Wiggins rapes the course anyway, or if his form is as mediocre as it looked in the first week, even a big win here won't win him the Giro.

Let's see how it turns out before whining, ok?

It's a pretty huge deal. Nibali and Co are far superior bike-handlers and therefore could make time up on corners, but if it rains for them and not Wiggo it's going to be a massacre and the giro will be all but over.

I agree, very bad sign. The bike almost certainly was fine, he just wasn't going as fast as he thought he should be going, because his legs aren't "there".

Really? Maybe I'm not fully awake, but he looks the same (allowing for differences in the bike (I assume he's on the standard pinarello tt bike and not the prototype).

Pinarello just finished it and Wiggins didn't ride it in the TTT either.
