I think by the time the sprint came Sagan was more interested in screwing up Van Avermaet's chances, probably because he was already cooked and mad at everybody's lack of cooperation. If people keep making him do all the work, he won't have much of a choice but to try to do what he did today. Problem is, he can only succeed if he's at his absolute best.

i wanted to see van avermaet's face when he realized he followed the wrong wheel:D because seriously this would have been easy for him

well done bobby, now bring some of that form to europe too

pretty awesome race as usual, it had lots of cobo tv time, bmc gewiss failed attack, JTL showing life, froomey, andy dropped you can't wish for more

For Dutchies and Belgian who have, like me, missed this, the last 55km are on 'Op12' now which is the Ketnet channel (channel after Één and Canvas).

Ridiculous attacks from Gaudin >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Everything in this race :p

:D I like the guy. Indeed he can make for some pretty entertaining, floppy, funny racing. :D

Sagan is no Cance. Even in the top form it will be very difficult for him to win any classic as a marked man.
The guy needs the Moser back in top form so they can play both cards in the final.
The Montreal will be different race. We will not see any Cannondale riders do any chasing.

Clearly it didn't have anything to do with Sagan going in to red when bridging up to terpstra, no.

I might have only seen the last 2km but I saw a whole lot of Gesink working too, and something tells me Gesink has done pretty much all the closing on Sagan before as well knowing his riding style

Surprised ?

He already did great at Gent Wegelem ;)

I thought that those little hills in the end would be enough to drop him.

I mean, he is far from horrible, but just that such an intense final would be too early for him

He's a super talent, I can alreeady see Coquard vs Ewan dominating the sprints in few years :D

And as both are actually good on hills, they might give Sagan good fight for points. Much better than Cav ever could if they develop as they are at this rate!

Dont forget that he's 58kg, his tiny size for a sprinter definitely helps a lot in these kind of races
