2013 Jayco Herald Sun Tour - January 3rd to 6th

Prologue route
Stage 1 route
Stage 2 route
Stage 3 route

Most of these stages are starting around 5:30pm and finishing around 8-8:30pm. Bizarre. I think they are doing that so they can run the Bay series in conjunction with the race. The race has been completely butchered in my opinion.

Well, whenever I try to access the website, it comes up with this message:
Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!
Public critisism of forum and its members referring to them as children. Against forum rules.
This ban is not set to expire.

Just a coincidence that he refers to "public criticism" on the page? I think not. Also rather pathetic that he blocks me on twitter all of a sudden. I can't see the site as a guest either on my computer yet I can when I access it through my iPhone. I will send you the messages that he regards as 'public criticism'.

Dimspace had no problem making jibes against CN Forum yet when someone criticises something he made, the authoritarian rule seems to come into play for Dimspace due to his intolerance to criticism.

Most of these stages are starting around 5:30pm and finishing around 8-8:30pm. Bizarre. I think they are doing that so they can run the Bay series in conjunction with the race. The race has been completely butchered in my opinion.

Hope they don't have any delays and finish in the dark ;-)

Interesting to see that startlist, they must have some good intel as it looked like the starting lists would filter out through the Herald Sun. Interesting to see Edmondson move from the OGE team at Bay Crits and into the SASI squad and Julian Dean having an early season ride in the Jayco team. Thought Matty Lloyd might have been riding in this race but doesn't appear in the provisional start list. Would that be due to rules around WT riders or Lampre not wanting him to do the race?

I see the prologue is a late start due to the Bay Crits finish a bit earlier. The other late stage is the final one up Arthurs Seat. It is a Sunday, so maybe they are thinking it will attract a bigger crowd after everyone has done their holiday beach things and other sporting attractions that may be on??? I would rather go down during the day and not have a longish drive home on Sunday night but the Peninsula holiday crowd might find it something interesting to do for the evening.

My understanding is: He banned you once for starting countless arguments (as discussed in the thread you linked to) but didn't actually ban you, he just put you on moderated posting and removed your chatroom access so you could still post, just not troll the race chats. And then when you started calling the members children, and claiming your disruption as "debate" he banned you. Seems fair enough. Sure he didn't intentionally block you completely, even banned members should be able to browse without being logged in.

You need to grow up dude. Don't know why he blocked you on twitter, not sure why he even followed you. I blocked you ages ago. Why don't you try contact the guy instead of moaning about him here?

As I explained in the other thread, you have so many of the facts wrong. Clearly, I would have a greater grasp of what happened because I was involved and you were not. Secondly, most of the conversation was done in private, so I am amused to know how you seem to know the facts of what happened. Even if what you say is true, why block me on twitter and create a specific page for me to be blocked on Velorooms? I think my aforementioned post explains how he intentionally went out of his way to block me. Finally, It is a bit hard to contact him when all avenues of contact to him are blocked.

Before you go shooting your mouth, get the facts right, moron!

A specific page? ROFL :D I doubt it. More likely that if someone is banned they get redirected to a default page that displays the reason for their ban. Very much doubt any mod/admin would be bothered to create a special page for anyone, not even you.

Anyway, enough, I'm doubtless going to receive my second warning just for humoring you.

Sigh. Take my advice and read what the page said. I posted it earlier in this thread.

I did, and as explained, it sounds like a default forum page that you get when you are banned and it just inserts the reason from the database that holds the ban details. Even Dimspace isn't so petty than to build a whole page for you. Get over it.

Meh, I don't see how that could be a coincidence that a page comes up which bans a member for speaking against a forum member calling them childish. Again, do you really believe that the specific nature of that ban is on a database? I think not.

It is good to see that you are finally acknowledging that you do not know what really happened, which is indicative of you not being present or have being able to read any of the posts I made.

So it's only the prologue and the last stage that have different times. Connecting with the bay city crits makes sense and I guess what you are suggesting about the holiday crowd makes sense. I am kinda interested to go down for the last day but will be a matter of what transport is like down there and if the are planning on running extra buses or something that late.

I'm guessing no but is there any TV coverage?

They use SMF. Here's the manual for the ban list

http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Ban_list

Under "Add New Ban"

* Reason - Reason for ban, to be displayed to banned member.

So when banning someone, the moderator puts in the reason, that reason is then displayed to the user.

Really dude, your persecution complex is beyond ridiculous. Ever considered therapy?

Stage 1 is going to be a very tough start to this race, with the ride heading north and north west all day. Training routes I have ridden many times and it is tough going with plenty of rolling hills and a great KOM early with the ride up Mount Macedon. 39C and head winds will make for a very interesting start and I will be keen to see how Clarke goes and if he stretches Gerrans.

Thursday 3 January
SummaryMin 14Max 33Sunny.
Melbourne area
Sunny. Light winds with afternoon bayside seabreezes to 15 km/h.
Friday 4 January
SummaryMin 20Max 39Sunny.
Melbourne area
Sunny. Winds north to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h shifting southwesterly 30 to 45 km/h during the evening.

Haven 't seen the forecast beyond the forecast above but with southerly winds coming in at the end of Friday, should make for a much cooler weekend, with squally south westerly winds.
