Ridiculous. Even when Blanco does everything right they manage to fu.ck it up with 600m to go dragging half the field with them.
They just have no business in bunch sprints. Even when they sign the best leadout in the world, it all goes to smithereens.

so Kroupis is the 8th best sprinter on Orica?

how did he manage to lose ~4 spots despite winning today?

I seriously doubt guys like Impey, Bling and Albi are quicker than him

Something I wanted to ask, sorry that it´s a little off topic, but today´s crash reminded me of it, and so you may forgive me asking it here:

Why, actually, was Bos suspended only for six months (if I´m correct) after he pulled down Impey in 2009´s Tour of Turkey? If they ban him, they are convinced of his guilt, but then they´d have had to ban him for much longer... Anyone still knows the reasons for this decision? I watched the incident on Youtube a while ago, and for me, there are only two possibilities:
Either it was an accident, then Bos isn´t guilty at all, or he did it on purpose, then he should be out of competitive cycling for life.

Don´t want to start a discussion, just glad if someone would give me a short summary of the trial after this incident. Thanks :)

No real reasoning given for it, just a half a$$ed UCI decision based on no clear footage at all. It was just one month BTW. Although I don't know what the regular penalty for such an offense would be, I've never seen it given (and Cavendish could have had a few).

From what I can remember Bos got boxed in and by the movement of the peloton he was forced to drift towards the side of the road. But some riders, including Impey, were riding in that space. He was about to fall when in a reflex he grabbed Impey's jersey to stay upright he said himself. So he said it wasn't his intention to grab him at all but in a reflex to not crash he let Impey crash

I think people attempted to emulate it and found out it's quite hard to purposefully sling someone into the barriers. Not sure how hard they tried, but it remains a strange incident.

OK, thanks a lot :)

"Half a..ed" is the right word, I think. This whole incident was so strange: normally, Bos doesn´t seem to be such an a..hole at all. Then, Impey and his team seemed surprisingly quiet afterwards, not really angry at Bos, as you would suppose they had reason to be, actually.

To me, it was like a soccer player who takes a 30m run towards the referee just to kick him his foot into the face, almost.

Strange, but OK.

Well, and today a "normal crash", but no less dramatic. Get well soon, Renshaw! Marcel Wüst once lost an eye in such a crash... :(

Much appreciated :) It seems to me only Bos knows the truth... Maybe better for him ;)

Impey was definitely angry. He refused to speak to Bos for a while, eventually he did.

looking at the crash again I think Bos tried to push Impey away so he wouldn't crash in the barriers, but as a result of that Impey was leaning towards Bos to keep his balance and Bos was forced to go in the barriers. When he fell he was still holding on to Impey causing Impey to crash as well. I think that if Bos didn't crash, Impey wouldn't have crashed as well.
