But Rio looks to be a difficult parcours as well.

Yes, Froome should in theory have a better chance, but racing on the front from the start is still not the way to do it

They're utterly clueless in one day races.

On another note, can we please add Chris Boardman to the list of terrible British cycling commentators? Seriously annoying.

Many thanks once again.

Re Wiggins, if there is not a "Wiggins goal" in the race he rarely sees the point.

A "Wiggins goal" does not need to be a victory but if there is no specific goal which he feels is worthwhile he doesn't bother. I didn't think he would finish today and still don't think he will.

He's obviously meant to be at the front with his teammates. Instead he's sulking at the back. It's pathetic.

Oh wow the weather is really horendous.

This will be mayhem. Perfect conditions for Nibali, Gilbert and Sagan. Purito did well at Lombardia last year as well.

Crashes could cause a surprising outcome though. Oh and Wiggins will have a great time :D

Contador down.

this guy isn't lucky at all

those sportresults times shows a lot of riders dropped

nibali seems dropped but i guess its because his bike doesn't have a number

wiggins doesn't even bother, cavendish more useful today

horner on front :D
