Kash to show us what he is made of!
Maybe Miburo should start a poll: Kash vs. Machado, who's the best attacker? I'm sure you, and Iznogoud will be thrilled.

I think Thomas is in a lot of trouble here. There are so many within 15 seconds of the lead and with time bonuses on the line he will have to mark ten cyclists. It's very hard to do at willunga. I think slagter is going to win here

Thomas has looked good to me. He may not win the stage but I think he will win the race. The team are looking pretty good too. Gerrans might go for the stage win as he can't win the race but he was sick a few days ago. Hard one to predict.

Any idea when they'll hit Willunga the first time? I might actually set my alarm to get up in the middle of the night for this.

I need the answer to this question too

Can't find precise information, but after 151km the race is scheduled to finish 3:02pm local. First KOM is at 129km. One hour before the finish should do the trick.

(I have been known to be very unreliable).

OLD WILLUNGA the Australian equivilent of the Galibier! :D

I think it's going to be hotly contested between Macahdo, Moreno, Slagter and possibly Gerrans to get Orica a stage win

Dark horse is Chris Anker Sorensen :)

Rafael Valls to win the stage after Machado surprisingly fail the correct timing for the attack. Go Rafa!

I'm curious to know how the Radioshackers will approach this stage. Who exactly will be riding for who etc.?

Machado to be left to his own crazy antics, Hermans & Bennett to stick together and see who has the best legs on the day?

Thoughts anyone?

Well, Machado is going to attack at some point and make his bid for the overall, hopefully he times it right. If his attack doesn't work though than it will be up to Hermans and Bennett. Based on the current GC Bennett would probably work for Hermans since Hermans is 8 seconds back and Bennet 15 back.

Please, the RS guys always end up 5th, 7th and 10th. No way they're winning this, although Machado might go berserk on Willunga.
He has to win a race at some point in his career.

The big-hitters at the track fancy Slagter, all the smart money is on him.Others with chances, there's half a dozen could win this but he's the form horse.

Thomas is clearly the best climber in the race and he has the best form, so why bet against him? I predict Slagter to fall out of the top 5, as he's somewhat overrated on the longer climbs. The guys putting money on him are betting purely on gut feelings, they're probably gonna end up disappointed.

They are scheduled to hit WH the first time at 1426 Adelaide time, the last loop takes about 30 minutes.

Heading out for the start soon, hoping to be at the top for the finish:)

To the person that wanted to compare WH with Corkscrew - it's not as steep, but longer, and the hardest bit is lower down, whereas corkscrew is harder at the top. No real hairpins on WH.

Can't predict the winner, think there will be a lot wanting to force a selection the first time up.
