Wow. I didn't know that only 2 riders have abandoned this year's tour. So unlucky for sky that its ebh and kiriyenka.

Thanks for the info eurosport.

Belkin really cannot pull back Quintana. Hell even Sky had trouble pulling back Quintana last time around

I meant someone jumping to join the break before the climb. I have a feeling Belkin can pull Quintana back on the flat.

If we were talking about waiting and Quintana attacking on the ventoux, right you are Belkin have no chance.

what for? to tire him so he doesn't make the limit? Sagan would have to withdraw and cavendish would have to fall in paris so greipel could overtake him.

That doesn't mean griepel doesn't work. he still needs to close his gap to cav

I LOLed @ Richie's Andy Schleck comment. He has always been way too much obsessed with Alberto. And I still think it was one of the reasons he lost the 2011 Tour to Evans.

He says that's not the plan:

I wasn't serious obviously.

Gesink will probably be told to support Mollema and Ten Dam as long as both stay up high n the GC. Doubt he will get free ride and if he does it wont be this stage, but probably an multi mountain alpe stage next weel.

Frustrating to see another team do the yellow jersey job.

cant understand why MOV want to chase now, unless they are planning to meet the break exaclty at the base and then launch an early attack.

i just hope that someone told Quintana it is not a nice thing to attack ventoux very early(unless, of course, you are alien or vino)

What was said?

The other Tour winner that Richie Porte has raced with was Bradley Wiggins, last year. Here's what the Tasmanian had to say about what it was like working with the 2012 champion... and the runner-up, Chris Froome.

“But Brad and Froomey are guys I've raced with a lot.

“Brad and I raced together at pretty much every race we did last year. And Froomey was there a lot too.

“Brad is Brad. He knows what he wants. But the orders don't always come from him. The orders would often come from Sean Yates who was a big mentor for Brad; he was the most brilliant sports director I think I've ever had, other than these guys like ‘Nico' Portal who models himself a lot on Sean.

“Last year, Sean was kind of like the unsung hero: he was absolutely calculating. Before the Tour had started, he had it all worked out in his mind.

“The other rider on the list is Chris Froome and I have to give full credit to Froomey: in the last year he's really stepped up on every level. The way he works with his guys is impressive. He's really become a leader!"

Shockingly, teams ride for their own interests.
Movistar obviously more interested in a stage win than Sky.

they never learned. Seemes like they rather help sky to win yellow? *duh* Or maybe it's payback time for belkin or quietly making a hurt for alberto? What movistar will do? hmmmm... let quintana attack from distance? again? we saw how it works at Ax3. If quintana would have stayed, he would have closer to Froome. Now, he is playing catch-up. 5 minutes to claw back or 2 minutes to the second place.

of course he needs to attack vemntoux early before the wind and in the forest when tempo is slower and oxygen is less, which is his advantage

Well, clearly the break's not going to make it at this rate...

A little sad, how awesome would Chavanel winnning have been for example?...
