Yep Portugal in August is an absolute nightmare. I usually went out to ride only at 5pm and even then I suffer from the heat. I bet almost all those guys are more than used to itLibertine Seguros said:It was 45º at its peak in Pamplona last year. While many of them will find it tough going, that'll probably be the same for most of the domestic pros too - can't be too many races in this kind of heat! However, the Vuelta can get this hot (and we've seen riders struggle in comparable heat before there - Scarponi in '11 springs to mind immediately), and any who do the Volta ought to be used to it - high pace and horrible heat.
