2014 Bayernrundfahrt
http://www.bayern-rundfahrt.com/
So Germany's one and only significant stage race is coming arround.
After decades of rather dull and uninspired editions it seems that the organizers are finally heading into the right direction. It's the declared goal to turn this race into a HC event within the next couple of years.
For this years edition the organizers managed to present a balanced and interesting route. (For Bayernrundfahrt standards at least)
The start list is also quiet good. A good mix between international top teams and young German/European squats.
Many prominent racers are on the start list, promising an interesting battle for the overall classification.
From a local perspective all eyes will be on Silvio Herklotz who just turned 20 and is widely considered Germany's biggest GT talent since Jan Ullrich.
