Cannondale says they won't take any risks with Peter Sagan in #DDP. I think teammate Oscar Gatto could be a good outsider for today's stage.

So Sagan just for a training ride

there are no risks in riding at the front. Pretty sure he will attack today

don't worry, sagan's training mode is still over the competition that is here for the stage one, maybe besides terpstra. And as somebody before you suggested, he will withdraw himself from the race. If he wins the first one, then he will deliberately loose enough seconds in second one so he could quit in the third stage, as the ITT has no meaning other that it would tire him. He did exactly the same last year and the year before. So if you placed money just on the first stage you're good, if on whole race, then it's worse. However, if he actually finished the race, he would probably win it easily. But that would be so stupid thing to do before RVV

team of seven started:

2.FENN Andrew
3.VELITS Martin
4.RENSHAW Mark
5.STEEGMANS Gert
6.TERPSTRA Niki
7.VAN KEIRSBULCK Guillaume
8.VERMOTE Julien

Man that's a bummer about Cav! I was hoping to see him race against Kittle. I hope he is able to get over this sickness quickly.

I know betting talk is frowned upon but for clarity Kristoff is considered 4x less likely to win that Sagan.
I can't understand that.

always felt betting talk as such should be limited but that odds could be discussed as they are great way of talkin about genuine outsiders.

Not a fan of some of the socks in the peleton now, lots of white socks black shoes combo and lots of longer socks too.
