I said you can't expect Evans to work when the only thing he will get for that is ruining is own race. That's beyond the realm of stupidity. Had Evans gone to the front he would later have cracked big time and would not have managed to even stay with Urán. He was clearly suffering there.

Yes and there has been evidence of that before - I think it was the 2012 TdF where he had lost some time in the stages before and decided to attack on a mountain stage only to be brought back and then when the overall leaders went on the attack he got left behind.

By the way Luz Ardiden was ridden by Andy, Evans and Basso at an average speed of about 23kph - hardly 'very slowly'.

They did Luz like 5 minutes behind the record. It even got cyclocosm to do a piece about how it was encouraging

The only rider I attacked for wheelsucking in this thread was Quintana.

But I'd say its telling that the second one brings up wheelsucking in a race in which Evans is taking part, the Evams fans automatically assume its their idol that's being slanted.

In the Clinic you accuse Evans' performances of being pathetic for his age yet you expect him to perform and waste energy like he is at the same level of the other guns?

Forget the rubbish about Evans has done it many more times. Half the top gc guys were dopers pre-2011. He has every right to simply sit on their wheel. 2011, he definitely wasn't a wheel sucker. 2012 onwards, I think anyone in gc contention at the age of 35+ can do whatever they want, if you follow the views of everyone on this forum: i.e., 'evans too old, will wilt in third week'. so accusing him of wheelsucking from 2012 onwards means you're contradicting your own argument that evans is too old to win grand tours.(i.e. if he could win tours, he shouldn't be wheelsucking, but you claim he is too old)

But you are too coward to talk Evans doping in the clinic aren't you. Rely entirely on trying to get cheap shots passed the moderators in the pro section where you know it can't be discussed.

That was my response to your response when you said it wasn't justified for Evans to wheelsuck because that would become the norm and other riders would start wheelsucking and collecting the fruits from the honest's hard work. I said that you can't expect him to work.

that was slowish but it wasn't because they were tired, i remember at the end andy schleck did a 40 km/h uphill sprint
