And hats off to Battaglin, true patience, saved himself some strength for the last k.

he didn't save some energy for final k. my god cycling isn't a videogame. it was pure a mental thing battaglin won. he came3 back. knew he was fast and saw the line and 2 riders that were dead also

The final climb is definitely harder then today. A climb tailor made for Quintana, and Pozzo of course.

I see Uran lose 1/1.30 min there.

On paper Pozzo and Quintana haven't taken much time, but more importantly they've gained confidence that they can still win this race.

If this trend continues Uran is no contender anymore.

In my opinion, Pozzo looked stronger than Nairito. He had the front constantly and only lost a few seconds when he was under attack in the final hundred meters.

Annoyed quintana rode off pozzos wheel for 5k then sprinted for a couple of seconds ... I get he wasn't confident but could've taken a couple of turns at least.

Evans sure as hell doesn't have a better chance to win this than Uran.

not sure what logic you use there. Evan's looked a lot stronger than Uran in the final

actually i think its Quintana's to lose now. no one else really has a chance barring something unforeseen

far too early to show his hand
he gained significant time on everyone else and isnt that far behind Pozz to worry at this point

he'll blow it apart on Zoncolan

And if this turns out to be a one-off for Urán, there won't be another chance. Like with Hesjedal in 2012, only much worse, because Urán is actually wearing the pink jersey.

GG so-called contenders.

No he didn't look a lot stronger, Evans looked very weak as well, with his little trademark sprint at the end. With 5 more mountain stages to go, both can't feel confident.

They should hope it was just a bad day, thats always a possibility.

uran definitely didn't look like he was dead at the finish at all. quintana had no confidence but when he sprinted for the line he saw to his own surprise pozzo dropped. tis will be very good for quintana's confidence

Thrilling stage! Quintana looks like he is back from his breathing problems, Pozzo looks strong + Majka and Aru made an awesome comeback at the end! I think we can look foward to an exciting last week of the Giro!

goddamn- at last- what an amazing stage!!! - a bit gutted by Pantano- he truly fought to the very end-gave everything - bu that's cycling- the entire peloton crumbled on that climb- Nairo is back!!! Pozzo looking good too- Rigo & OPQS did a horrible job controlling the race-Evans following as always & Hesjedal coming back to life too!!!

3rd week will a massacre!!!:eek::D

Correct... and the bad thing is he gets some applause here for gaining 5 seconds on Uran for sucking the whole day.
Can´t stand that guy. Anybody but Evans for this Giro. Please no 2nd grandpa rider winning it all.

opqs did terrible job,Uran was isolated and had a gap when Trek was pulling.imo he had to close something like 15 seconds gap immediately,it could cost him the power then

So looking forward to 3rd week,it should be incredible!

Uran practically fell over the line and looked in distress
