It's offensive anyway, but that still made me laugh.

i was right about him lacking ability to follow pure climbers. looks like he tried (naively) and got cooked
Peccio89 said:great finish, apart from Quintana wheelsucking a bit, he and Pozzo could have gained at least 20 s more.
lenric said:And why should Evans follow Quintana? He should only follow Uran at this point, because he won time in the TT to everybody else, so why should he loose energies pursuing Quintana and Pozzovivo?
That will be Evans objective when Pozzo and Quintana are closer, probably Tuesday or Wednesday.
Uran payed his TT effort. Tomorrow he'll be better.
Lupi33 said:i dunno what the problem with tactically marking your rival is
this whole thing about wheelsucking is getting old
they cant all be Ricardo Ricco

Ryo Hazuki said:he didn't look cooked cooked. that's for sure
Arnout said:If Quintana is confident he can put enough time on his rivals in the upcoming week good on him. If not, it might come back to haunt him.

Rigo keeps the Magglia Rosa, Evans begins to wheel-suck & Quintana gets a bit better, but he appears to have a master plan in motion......

let us accept that he doesn't have the punch of the likes of Quintana. But he can climb pretty decently.

Lanark said:The itt was 2 days ago, if he still suffers so much from that, he'll lose 10 minutes on the Zoncolan.
Evans didn't choose to follow Uran, as should be completely obvious. You domt lose time on a mtf unless you have to. If he waits till Quintana and Pozzo are close to him before he starts following them, he has already lost the race.
lenric said:Yeah, right, because, at this stage, their recovery capacity is as good as it was 2 weeks ago, plus him being less capable as a climber than Pozzo and Quintana. Good game bro.
Evans followed Uran, because Uran is his main rival at this point. Plus, he's not as good as Quintana and Pozzo in the mountains, so why should he waste energie trying to follow them? He simply chose to follow Uran, because trying to follow the duo PQ and risking breaking the engines and loosing even more time to Uran was a dumber choice.
Red Rick said:Yeah, Ryo, Uran dropped and even forgot to sprint because he was enjoying the landscape and Quintana forgot to attack Pozzovivo cause he was actually busy trying to find the proof for Fermat's conjecture in his mind cause you know, they're Colombian

Walkman said:Why would he?
Yesterday he was smashing everyone and even if he won, every other contender did a maximum effort. Today Uran actually looked cooked. If anything, he should be worse tomorrow.
red_flanders said:I think that's fair. Could also just have been a bad day. If that's all he concedes on a bad day, he is looking pretty good. Tomorrow will tell all.
