Wonder if this kind of racing is do to everyone tired from the TT? A flat stage between TT and this stage might have been good for the GC's to arrive fresher and more ready to attack on Zoncolan.

Just like with Finestre in 2011, I'm afraid. If the GC is still alive, it makes the big marquee climb on the penultimate day into an all timer, but if the strongest climber has the maglia rosa, it produces a disappointingly timid race. See also Bola del Mundo in 2012 as opposed to 2010.

It's just that the tempo is too high, we're dependent on riders not being able to follow.
