Are the last 2 hills the same hill?
Yes. Though they continue a little further up the first time.

...

Does anyone know if the 3-km-rule is active for this stage?

Purito will nail this for sure.

Katusha and BMC are going to race tomorrow, so it will be too difficult for guys like Matthews and Swift.

What makes you think Purito will win 'for sure' tomorrow? His form is still a big question mark.

I think it's a stage for a puncher genre Ulissi, Gasparotto or even EBH and Geschke.

You think he is the favourite on 1.75km @ 6.2% with 8% as max?

Of course i'm not sure how his form is. But he looks sharp and confident, so it will be fine in terms of condition imo.

The last 1.7 k at 6%, is hard enough for Purito to win here. I mean, he showed in the past on these kind of finishes (Malaga, La Finisterra) he's is also really good. I mean, Ulissi can win here, but he has never showed he's capable of beating all the big guys in a GT mano o mano.

There is no Gilbert here. Or Valverde. Or Sagan. Or Gerrans...

So why not. Like i said, finishes like Malaga are quite similar to Viggiano.

Purito need all the bonus seconds he can get. If he can take two seconds on his immediate rivals, it's a victory. If he is able to top 3, he will get important bonus seconds.

I still think it's a better finish for the likes of Ulissi, Oss and EBH, but he has to try.

If Eddy Boss was on form then I would say he's got an excellent chance, unfortunately he has flattered to deceive several times in the past. I will go for Ulissi.

URAN will stamp his authority early and will be widening the gaps on his rivals...

but really- I hope & pray for a breakaway to make it home, for f*ck's sake

Oss has zero chances of winning this.

Interesting stage. Uphill sprinters/puncheurs vs GC guys.

Hopefully some attacks on the first Viggiano ascent as well. The final kms are hard enough and the descent is technical.
