I hope for Purito, but i think:

1. Contador (freshness compared to the other two Spaniards)
2. Aru
3. Valverde

Surprised no Lampre.

Would have been perfect for Ulissi to come back in to racing.
I think he was suspended just as he was trying to get back into racing.

Any chance of Froome riding this? He would have half a chance if he rode it like the Camperona, but he doesn't seem interested in one day races in the slightest.

No chance. He was on the lash last night in Madrid.

Doesn't look tough enough for Bertie, but then Valverde, Martin, Aru and J-Rod could be all feeling the effects of yesterday.

For me it' scandalous that the oldest italian race it's not brodcasted live.
Ulissi would have been perfect for this course. Battaglin has the ability to do well in this race but given that he miss the worlds I assume that he's not in good form. Let's hope in some fireworks Vuelta's style from Aru and the three spaniards.

Annoyed there is no live coverage as it looks a decent field.

Hope Dan Martin can have enough left to take this.

Kreuziger back in action as support for Alberto?
No.

Tinkoff-Saxo team: Alberto Contador, Jesus Hernandez, Ivan Rovny, Matteo Tosatto, Michael Rogers, Nicki Sørensen, Oliver Zaugg and Sergio Paulinho.

So far it looks like he won't ride Lombardia neither.

It seems so. Quite the fail if you ask me.

Well, remember the race promoter is paying for the teams to appear. The budget might be a little short after Saxo/Contador.
