guess you are right, we will see...Arredondo said:I think Purito and/or Moreno were right on their weels, so it's quite difficult to ride away then.
Perhaps the most obvious example of real team tactics on a final climb![]()

sacrifice&hardwork said:Yes! Very, very disappointing especially considering that Tinkoff Saxo did most of the work in the peloton with Astana. He lost 17 seconds to Giampaolo Caruso (there were gaps between each rider in front as well).
Arredondo said:Any info of that or were you at the finish line?
sacrifice&hardwork said:Wasn't there. Just found this on twitter..

come on. it's not a stage race , these guys won't go nuts to fight for seconds at the finish. Once they knew they weren't going to catch Caruso , Noc and Moreno.. the order of the finish for 4-5-6- don't matter much , don't you think? For Alberto and Saxo either they had a win or it's all fodder for sunday battle. Katusha will be a monster to take down on Sunday..Arredondo said:A, so according to the pictures, Moreno finished some 4/5 seconds clear of Aru and Purito, and 5 seconds behind the two was Alberto.

Pentacycle said:Alberto probably sat up in the end, knowing the win was out of reach. Lombardia will give a completely different race.
Mayomaniac said:Yes, but i still think Valverde will be the man to beat. This years Lombardia finish isn't hard enough for Alberto, his only real chance would be a long range attack.

Electress said:This. I always thought something like this was most likely TBH. Quite interested in what the tactics will be like come Lombardia, though...![]()
