Fantastic for Nelson, doing the double it's amazing.trevim said:http://www.procyclingstats.com/mob/race.php?id=147011
Nelson Oliveira does the double taking the portuguese road race ahead of Sergio Sousa, Machado and Andre Cardoso.
I was hoping to see the jersey at the Tour and here we go. I would have preferred Machado because he'll probably be more visible but it's a good result nonetheless![]()

Maybe a Lux native can tell us how the final played out. Christian?

Seriously, Swift has no killer instinct. He could easily box Kennaugh in.

Shame to see no national jersey at A Volta, but more visibility in bigger races for the jersey can only be a good thing. First time in the WT since Manuel Cardoso signed for Footon?

I would have preferred Machado to win because he will surely be in some breakaways but either way the jersey will be visible for most of the season instead of during 2 weeks in August so i am happy.
Also Machado had 2:30 minutes of advantage over a 9 man group with 30k to go and 2 minutes with 30 minutes of racing left. So Oliveira's attack must have been pretty strong because only Sergio Sousa was able to stay anywhere near him.
