and still, business is everywhere, the focal point of this picture is on sponsor name and not on kittel "apologizing" to his bike. Shame, would be wonderful photo if executed in other way by the photographer. At least, he could have emphasize both, the duo and the sponzor at the same time.

except that the photo is perfect as it is, given its purpose. You really think there is any reason for this other than PR?

i didn't say that it was imperfect for PR, it's done in that way on purpose, as now the eyes are dragged to the giant logo. I just said, that from solely storytelling view, if the eyes being dragged to giant logo almost immediately is contraproductive. The whole idea could have been executed much better. Currently, the photo tells that giant has something to do with kittel. The photo had big potential to say something like 'what a creative folks are there working for giant'.

there are explicit stories and there are stories offering hints, leaving room for imagination...

There are some opportunities here, but it will be crowded at the front with big units everywhere. Sagan or Demare FTW.

I see a sharp turn right before that 11% section starts? Interesting. That could mess things up a bit.

this might actually hurt especially pure sprinters, doing the 11% section when starting from 60 is whole different then starting from 20, or even less

Is the "pave" listed likely to be a factor or is it nothing?

Hard to see past Sagan or Kwia ftw either way.

I checked it on Google Earth. It's paving stones, shouldn't be much of a factor. Might be slippy if it was raining?

75km left and the gap still over six and a half minute, the peloton should start working, the pace will certainly be high and this could mean good battle at the end, after 210kms

Greipel, Cav and Sagan are there. Don't know about Kittel
